The 22nd Plastic Expo came to a successful conclusion.

   On November 7th, the 2020 China (Yuyao) International Plastic Expo and the 22nd China Plastic Expo came to a successful conclusion. With the theme of "Innovation Empowers the Industry, and Green Leads the Sector", this Plastic Expo further strengthened technical exchanges and economic and trade cooperation within the plastic-related industry, striving to provide new impetus for the development of enterprises and to start a new engine for industrial upgrading. The leading role, professionalism, and influence of the Plastic Expo have been further enhanced. According to the statistics of the organizing committee, during the four-day exhibition, a total of 25,500 valid business visitors were attracted, and the total transaction volume reached 3.15 billion yuan. 

The Plastic Expo took "Gathering Plastic Exposition, Sharing the Future" as its purpose, highlighting the two positioning of "Innovation - Empowerment" and "Green - Leadership", and put forward three phased functional goals, namely "Building an International Green and Innovative Scientific, Industrial and Trading Base for Modified Plastic Raw Materials", "Serving Domestic Economical and High-quality Intelligent Production", and "Leading the Sustainable Development of the Global Plastic Industry". It continuously strengthened the work of "Four Deepenings and Two Linkages", that is, deeply cultivating green technology, vigorously promoting intelligent innovation, deepening industry aggregation, and thoroughly sharing achievements, so as to realize the coordinated development of "Exhibition" and "Conference", as well as the coordinated development between traditional industries and intelligent manufacturing. 

The 16th International Forum on the Development of China's Plastic Industry held concurrently arranged a total of 4 keynote speech topics for the main forum, set up six thematic sub-forums, and released one authoritative industry development report. The four keynote speech topics of the main forum focused on the backgrounds such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the decline in crude oil prices, and the China-US trade frictions, exploring new paths for the green, circular, and sustainable development of the plastic industry. The "Report on the Development of Global Plastic International Trade" was released during the forum. The sub-forums of the international forum included the First China Plastic Traders Conference, the Annual Meeting of the Plastics and Chemicals E-commerce Alliance, the 2020 High-level Roundtable Meeting on Promoting the High-quality Development of the Plastics and Chemicals Industry through the Integration of Industry and Finance, the Plastic Sustainable Development Technology Forum and the Second Annual Meeting of the Expert Database of the Plastic-related Industry, the Closed-door Meeting of Chief Marketing Officers (Plastics) of Well-known Enterprises, and the Special Meeting on Financial Support for the Development of the Plastic Industry, bringing the latest scientific, technological, trade, and financial information for the development of the plastic industry. 

This Plastic Expo utilized 8 exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of 42,000 square meters and 2,000 booths, setting up three major exhibition areas for plastic raw materials, plastic machinery, and machine tool molds. Under the new situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the four-day exhibition attracted a cumulative total of 25,500 valid business visitors, and achieved a total transaction volume of 3.15 billion yuan. Relying on the resources of the website platform, the international forum achieved the two-way integrated development of "Online + Offline", and the number of online participants in the forum exceeded 100,000. At the same time, the exhibition also held "Meetings within the Exhibition" such as the Talent Recruitment and Negotiation Meeting of the Plastic Expo, Plastic Technology Lectures, and the Docking Meeting between Industry, University and Research Institutes. A total of 14 high-end projects involving intelligent manufacturing, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection and other fields were signed on-site, with a total investment of 5.05 billion yuan. 

This Plastic Expo fully carried out the epidemic prevention and control work, newly established an epidemic prevention and control department, and formulated a general epidemic prevention and control plan and three sets of individual epidemic prevention and control plans before the opening of the exhibition, during the exhibition, and after the end of the exhibition. The successful holding of this exhibition has won unanimous praise from Chinese and foreign business visitors and participating guests. The satisfaction rate of business visitors participating in the exhibition reached 96.4%, and 87.5% of the business visitors said on the spot that they would participate in the next Plastic Expo.
